A traditional hospital room with standard monitoring equipment and a bed-focused setup. (Rooms are built around medical efficiency. While many offer labor tubs, medical policies or continuous fetal monitoring wires frequently restrict your movement to the bed) I'm open to either, as long as the space is calm. A quiet, intimate, home-like room where I can move freely, eat, and use a deep birth tub. (Rooms are designed to encourage movement, eating, and laboring in water. There are no continuous monitors tying you to a bed) None How do you envision managing labor discomfort? I want to heavily rely on natural comfort measures first like breathing, movement, water, doula support. (Epidurals are not available because they require an anesthesiologist and continuous monitoring.
